Budapest International Wine Festival

The Wine Festival has been through so much in the last 20 years. A close relationship has developed over that time between the bouquet of the wines, people’s smiles and the several hundred year old walls of the Buda Castle.

The main event of the internationally recognised festival is to be held at the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Buda Castle.

Twenty years, the immense organisational work, friendly or inclement weather, hundreds of thousands of people, the tinkling of glasses, delicious tastes and bouquets, unforgettable tunes, dance performances, exhibitions, lifelong friendships and the all-embracing spirit of wine. These are the essential ingredients of the Wine Festival.

The most skilled winemakers in Hungary come to this event to offer their best wines for sampling. Famous wine merchants and our honorary guest will provide a selection of foreign wines as well. Many are proud possessors of medals and prizes won at prestigious international and domestic competitions. Winemakers will also be present to answer any questions from wine enthusiasts.
