Budapest Expo Congress Hotel

2009-07-01

On July 24, 2009, the four-star Expo Congress Hotel opened its doors directly at the entrance of the Hungexpo Budapest Fair Center. Well known to the capital, the tower building is a symbol of renewal in the 21st century with unique interior design solutions, born in the spirit of Dynamic Design. The new Hungarian architectural studio, AMA Creation, is a new interior design concept in the Hungarian hotel industry, providing a constantly changing appearance according to the needs and the demands of the age.

The building’s developer and operator, the dynamically developing hotel group Mellow Mood Group, began the complete renovation of the house in November 2008. All levels were affected by the reconstruction, with only the basic structure of the building remaining in its original form. The house has been extended to one more level, with a sectional conference room on the 12th floor, a panoramic bar with unique views and a spa and fitness area.

The hotel is a member of the Mellow Mood Group Congress brand, and offers a full range of conference facilities. The total capacity of the 3 multifunctional conference rooms and meeting rooms is 280 persons, where high-quality event technology ensures the successful conduct of seminars, press conferences and company events.

The Expo Brasserie Restaurant and the summer terrace offer a rich breakfast buffet each morning, and during the day they serve national and international cuisine.

The 160 cozy and spacious rooms on the 10 floors of the hotel, in style and service, but perhaps most importantly in terms of operation, follow the latest trends in economy calculations. From the very first moment of interior design, it was an important consideration to provide the opportunity for continuous and cost-effective renewal, which is key to increasing the number of guests and the resulting financial success for modern hotels.

The air-conditioned standard and superior rooms with LCD TV, mini bar, safe, internet connection, hairdryer and telephone, as well as the larger connecting rooms for disabled guests, are designed according to AMA Creation’s terracing concept, so that each visual key element can be easily and cost-effectively changed. Thus, the partial or complete redesign of rooms can become an integral part of the operation in a well-calculated way. Real adaptability through dynamic design can give the operator a significant competitive edge over the short term, as opposed to traditional hotel operators.

Today’s cost-effective management requires prudent solutions that guarantee long-term sustainable development, which has lacked the domestic development environment. Visible and palpable hotel appearance, freshness, and careful but consistent tracking of trends play an increasingly important role in the competition for visitors. “We have designed the interiors of the new Expo Congress Hotel in close harmony with the visual design approach and economic expectations. said Ágnes Horváth, senior designer of AMA Creation.
