(MTI) – The Best International Hotel Interior award at the International Hotel Awards in London was awarded to the Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest, which was first run by Mellow Mood Hotels among Hungarian hotels.

Hundreds of hotels from five continents have been nominated for the competition, and the winners are selected by a jury of international experts.

For 20 years, the International Hotel Awards has been one of the greatest challenges in the international hotel industry. Hotels can start in 17 categories.

The Budapest Buddha-Bar Hotel was officially opened in mid-June last year at the Pest side of the Erzsébet Bridge. The five-star luxury hotel was built in the historic building of the hundred-year-old Klotild Palace. The hotel has 102 rooms, several individual suites, a wellness center and event rooms.

This is the second Buddha-Bar hotel in the world, the first one opened in Prague in 2009. 14 of the Buddha-Bar restaurants operate in the world, while the fifteenth is in Budapest.

Owned by Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad, Mellow Mood Hotels has been operating in the Budapest hotel market since 1997. Today it operates 14 different categories of hotels.
