As a request by the Hungarian Baptist Aid, Mellow Mood Hotels sponsored the “Cultural trip to Budapest” programme, which is organized for disadvantaged children.
Coming from Nagyhalász (Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county), they participated in this programme between 07-09 March and visited the famous sights of Budapest.
The elementary school students (10-14-year-old) and their teachers stayed at the Marco Polo Top Ho(s)tel, where we offered half board catering. Atlas City Hotel and Expo Congress Hotel also took part by providing the equipment and dishes for the dinner. The children had the opportunity to go sightseeing by boat and bus as well, thanks to our excellent partner City Sightseeing – Mr. Nilsz Ltd.
As the children came from families living in difficult conditions, we wanted to support them with material donation in addition to the nice experiences. The kids got sport bags including sport equipment, stationeries and sweets; for the families we prepared food packages containing preservable food. The fundraising organized amongst our colleagues, was also very successful and we collected many useful things which were also delivered to Nagyhalász.
