Expo Congress Hotel wins award ****

At 11 o’clock this morning, a ceremony was held in the Atrium of the Gerbeaud House in the XIV district and the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award was Awarded.

The Hungarian Association of Real Estate Professionals of FIABCI, the Hungarian Association of Real Estate Professionals, launched this year’s 14th edition of the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award, organized by the Hungarian Association of Realtors (MAISZ) and co-sponsored by the Hungarian Chamber of Architects.

Mellow Mood Hotels, owned by Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad, entered the competition with the fully renovated 4-star Expo Congress Hotel in 2009. The detailed application dossier had to be submitted by October 26, 2012, showing some phases of the renovation of the building and photos illustrating the development and then the current state. Located next to the main entrance of Hungexpo, the unique 12-storey Expo Congress Hotel, a cross-shaped building, has been awarded the Special Award of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association for its high standard. The 160-room hotel has 3 conference rooms, a Sky Bar with panoramic views, a Spa and Fitness section, and a private restaurant, complete with a terrace.

The Mellow Mood Hotels Group, which currently operates 13 hotels in Budapest, plays a crucial role in the development of the Hungarian hotel industry and the improvement of domestic tourism. The certificate was taken over by Judit Blandl, General Manager, along with the two owners.
