Expo: Formula One and Madonna are very interested

2009-06-19

Expo Congress Hotel is owned and operated by Mellow Mood Group (MMG). During the Formula 1 season and the Madonna concert in late August, they are expecting a full house at the 4-star Expo Congress Hotel, Péter Fejér, MMG Sales Director, told Ecoline.hu.

In addition, the opening, originally scheduled for August 1, was brought forward a week in advance to allow the 160-room unit to welcome guests during this year’s Hungarian Circus Run.

Hungexpo, the strategic partner

In the not-so-easy current market, the Hungexpo in the neighborhood of the house is also opening up to the organization of exhibitions and trade fairs to help organize conferences. Group tourism, as well as individual city tourism, will play an important role in the sale of the hotel.

Expo Congress Hotel

Large exhibitions and fairs such as BNV exhibitors and exhibitors represent a significant business potential for the hotel. For the future, along with the revival of the market, they are also counting on the boom in business tourism: there are many big business centers in the area.

Conference Hotel

The building was purchased in September 2007 by the Mellow Mood Group. The complete renovation of the house began in November 2008. The total value of the investment is HUF 5 billion.

All levels were affected by the reconstruction, with only the basic structure of the building remaining in its original form. The house has been expanded by an additional level, with a sectional conference room, panoramic bar and wellness and fitness sections on the 12th floor.

Next year is the Buddha Bar

The Mellow Mood Group, founded in Hungary 12 years ago, opened two units last year: the three-star Promenade City Hotel in Váci Street in downtown Budapest and the four-star superior Buda Castle Fashion Hotel in Buda Castle.

Next year, the company will launch three four-star hotels and the five-star Buddha Bar Hotel Klotild Palace in Budapest, and will soon open its first foreign four-star hotel in Vienna. These developments will expand the group’s portfolio to 17 units.
