Mellow Mood Group keeps hotel development projects up and running

2008-10-09

Mellow Mood is currently involved in the development of five hotels in Hungary and one in Vienna, Austria. The five-star Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest Klotild Palace, the first five-star hotel of the group, is to open in the 4th quarter of 2009 in Budapest’s pedestrian street Váci utca.

The 102-room hotel, with its unique design and numerous exclusive services, is based on the Buddha-Bar concept, which is very popular abroad, as the first lifestyle hotel in Budapest, in an eclectic-colonial style.

Alta Moda Fashion Hotel, a four-star “Fashion Hotels” brand, will also open in 2009 on Nádor Street with 114 large rooms, including 4 function rooms, a business center, a bar, a fitness center, spa and restaurant.

Next to the Budapest Fair Center, the Expo Congress Hotel (which will operate under the “Congress Hotels” brand) is undergoing a rebuild, which will be reborn in 2009 as a 160-room, four-star conference and business hotel. Here, of course, services are developed to meet the needs of business tourists and exhibitors.

Two further hotel developments have begun: both units are four-star and will be part of the Fashion Hotels: the 80-room La Prima Fashion Hotel on the corner of Váci Street and Pesti Barnabas Street, and the other 70-room Fashion Hotel on Váci Street 83 will also open  next year.

Mellow Mood Group is also expanding overseas

In Vienna, near the Naschmarkt, a 4-star, 52-room Cosmo Fashion Hotel Vienna is being opened by Mellow Mood, transforming an old building. There will be a restaurant, bar, special rooms, the plans are made by an Austrian-Hungarian architect office and will open in 12 months after obtaining the licenses, which is expected to take place in 2009.

This project is the first cross-border development of Mellow Mood, and the group wants more hotels in the region, primarily in capitals and important rural cities.
