The building of Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest won in two categories of an international real estate development competition. The reconstruction of the historic building won awards in two categories of the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards for real estate development, finishing ahead of many projects worldwide.

The Paris-based International Real Estate Federation – FIABCI – established in 1951, with activities in more than 60 countries – calls for the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence competition every year, with the purpose of choosing and providing recognition to the most successful real estate developments (www.fiabciprix.com). This year’s awards ceremony, the reconstruction of the Párisi Udvar’s building, was the best in both the “Heritage” and the “Hotel” categories and was awarded the World Gold Winner prize.

The owners of Mellow Mood Hotels hotel group – Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad – imagined a unique five-star luxury hotel satisfying every expectation. Archikon made the designs; the constructor was Market Építő Zrt., who worked on the renovation of the eclectic style building that is considered one of Budapest’s iconic buildings and has one of Europe’s most significant ceramic tile cladding for almost four and a half years. Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest opened its gates in May 2019, as a member of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. Besides the positive feedback received since then, these two prestigious awards also prove that the historical values of the building are in harmony with its current hotel and commercial functions.
