The building, which has already won numerous awards, has now received prestigious international recognition.
Four Hungarian projects competed in the final international award, of which the Párisi Udvar, – whose renovation was planned by Archikon – won the Audience Award in the architecture and preservation category.
Archikon Architects, and contractor Market Építő Zrt. undertook a huge task when they applied for the design and construction of the renovation of Párisi Udvar. It has one of the largest ceramic facades in Europe, and it is in a prime area of the city. The building has been remodeled several times, its owners wanted to create a five-star luxury hotel – in a way worthy of the house’s past.
The Párisi Udvar is an amazing building in every sense: it presents the visitor with a time-traveling mix of ages and styles, fantasy and reality, and hundreds of years of high-tech.
The main goal of the designers was to make the time spent here an extraordinary experience for guests: an enchanted world they would later like to revisit. In addition, it was an important aspect that the monumental values and the engineering, mechanical, static, and fire protection requirements of the present, and the technological requirements of the luxury hotel serve the reborn environment unnoticed.
